Davinci Resolve/Fusion Standalone – cool Organic Growth Neon Text

Davinci Resolve/Fusion Standalone – cool Organic Growth Neon Text

Hey all – I have to say that I’m a little bit proud of this one. A relatively simple comp, but I think the end result is really good. But, I may be biased!! 😉 Have a look here:

Word of warning though: particles are generated exponentially (-ish) and as the render/timeline progresses, the computer may start struggling. As of frame 250 (in both templates), things ease of and your computer should be able to start breathing again!

Having said that, the 1st comp rendered in at about 5mins on my computer and the 2nd one in at about 2.5mins….. so we’re not talking about having to leave the computer work overtime overnight 😉

Hey all – a new free template for you all. I have to say that it may be a bit similar to some of my earlier work, but I still thought it was worth publishing 😉

This will work both in Davinci Resolve 15/16/17 or Fusion Standalone (as of version 9). For Davinci Resolve you will first need to drag in an empty Fusion Composition (from the effects panel) into the timeline (on the Edit page), ensure it’s sufficiently long (default for the template is 300 frames) and then select it and go into the Fusion tab. In the Fusion tab you can then import the downloaded Fusion comp file. Last step is then to connect the last merge to a MediaOut node.

Beware!

With the default parameters the comp may be quite slow. To improve performance, you can for instance turn-off the (or lower the quality of) the Depth-of-Field in the render node.

Hey all – and…another free download. I originally wanted to do a tutorial on this, but I’m having difficulties finding the time!

So…. here it is as a download. It may be a bit slow to render, but if you’re in a hurry you can switch off the depth of field effect in the various renderer3D nodes (essentially –> disable the “accumulation effects”).

You can change the text in the text boxes (I’d recommend that as right now it’s just a bunch of nonsense) and all kinds of things.

The assets (map images) should load automatically as the loaders make use of a relative file path. If for whatever reason they don’t, link them manually.

This is not a very easy project to dissect, so not totally newbie friendly 🙂 However, if you’ve got any questions, let me know.

Hey guys! It has been a while, but here’s another free project file for you guys. Note though that it is not the fastest project due to both Depth of Field settings and the Particle Render Subframe Accuracy being cranked up! (needed for the smooth lines).

Here you go guys…..another set of templates. They work both in Fusion standalone and Davinci Resolve. Have fun with them!

By the way, it would be great if you could share any work you do with these. Would love to see the results!

Also, please consider supporting me on Patreon. I invest a lot of time and effort on this and could use the encouragement!
