Mini Pack - Free Text Presets for Davinci Resolve and Fusion

Hey all - quick one here. Just 3 Text+ (plus a few additional nodes) based text presets. Just open up in Fusion (or Davinci Resolve). I believe the used font (Verdana) is installed as standard on both Windows and Mac, so should work out of the box. If you want to change the font and font size be aware that you will probably need to tweak the other nodes too, notably the erode/dilate nodes.

The basic principle around the unique look of these presets is that you first take a test and then erode it until there's just a thin line left. Then, after that you reverse it and then add to this thin line by another erode/dilate node and then go in full reverse by dilating it. This process, depending on the filter setting, will give a unique look (like the circle or square shape).

Installation Instructions

Fusion

Just save the comp and open it up in Fusion! Presto.

Davinci Resolve 15

On the edit tab, drag in a standard Fusion Composition (from the Generators). Set it to the required length (standard the presets are 140 frames long), then go into the Fusion page and go to File --> Open Fusion Composition. Then navigate to the folder where you downloaded (& unzipped) the presets and open the selected composition. Finally, connect the final node to a MediaOut node (you may need to add that). That's it.
